One quantitative variable is covered in sections 2.2 and 2.3 of the Lock^5 textbook.  In these sections you will learn how to describe the distribution of a quantitative variable in terms of shape, central tendency and variability. You will be introduced to the normal distribution, z scores, percentiles, graphs, and the five-number-summary.
